Steps that ensure your satisfaction.
To better understand the TMC Custom Pools construction process, we have outlined the different phases. Through all of these phases, you will be working closely with your pool designer / project manager.
To better understand the TMC Custom Pools construction process, we have outlined the different phases. Through all of these phases, you will be working closely with your pool designer / project manager.
One of our experienced Pool Designer / Project Managers will meet with you. Our designers will listen to your pool wants and needs, survey the new pool site and answer all the questions you have.
You will have a second meeting with your Designer / Project Manager, and he will present to you a 3D rendering of your backyard and proposed pool plan. Your Designer will also present to you a detailed price analysis of your proposed pool. This is the time to add, remove, or change anything in the pool plan.
Once you are happy with the pool plan, TMC Custom Pools will confirm it with a meeting to sign the contract. The scheduling and permit process can now begin.
Now TMC’s experienced excavation crew will start digging your pool. The excavation process generally takes just one to two days.
With the pool dug and beginning to take shape, the PVC plumbing for the pools equipment and cleaning system will now be installed. The pool equipment, including electrical service, lights, filters, and pumps will also be installed during this phase.
With the pool dug, plumbing and electrical installed it is now time to install the steel reinforcement (rebar) for the shell of the pool. The steel “cage” gives the pool shape and strength. The reinforcing steel is an integral part of the engineered pool plan.
Whether its LED, Halogen, or Fiber Optics TMC can diagnose, repair, or replace your pool or spa light.
After the pool passes its “pre-gunite” inspection of the excavation, plumbing, electrical, and steel, the pool is now ready for gunite. This is a Concrete mix referred to as gunite. This concrete mix is “shot” into the pool using a concrete pump and hoses. The crew then finishes the gunite to shape the floor, walls, benches, and steps of the pool.
With the Gunite installed, the waterline tile and decking options that you selected during the design phase are now installed.
After the pool passes final inspection the interior surface option that you choose, is installed and finished by hand by our craftsman. This “Plaster Installation” process takes one to two days depending on the chosen interior surface. The pool now begins filling with water.
When the pool is completely filled with water, one of our trained technicians will start up and program all the mechanical equipment, including pumps, lights, and water features. We will balance the pool water and add the necessary chemicals. Your new pool is now swim ready!
